Drying Brakes in the Dry?

I was wondering if anyone knows how to check if the "brake drying" that happens when it is raining, is actually turned off when it is dry out. Supposedly, the sensor that decides whether to dry the brakes or not is tied to the windshield wipers. I had my windshield replaced, along with the rain sensor.

So the question is this. How can I verify that the "brake drying" is not on when the windshield wipers are off? I am driving a 2008 323i.
