Drivers seat not returning to same position

though id put this in uk in case its only a uk issue..

lately i seem to be having a problem with my drivers sports seat.

i take an age to get my seat adjusted to how i like them.

but what seem to be happening lately is when the seats are tilted to let the kids climb into the back they never return back to the same position, the back angle and length from pedals is all wrong.. so the whole adjusting scenario starts again!!!

the only thing i can put it down to, is you have to be uber careful on how the seat is reset, by pushing the the seat along the runners by the base, and then folding the back part slowly. If you pull the seat by the obvious it all goes wrong.. surely this cant be right?

is it just me?

My seat goes back to the same location but my mirrors are usually off by a few degrees. Its just an odd quirk about our cars. Pray its the worst thing that happens to you.

lol u sound like my dad who cant get the hang of the passenger seat. It is a slightly annoying quirk but you just have to do what you say and push the seat back correctly along the runners.

bah,,, its a right pain..

what normally happens is the kids pile in and yank the seat.. then i get in, and i either can't touch the pedals, or look like an old granny with my nose on the wheel!

Same on mine. Works fine aslong as i have the seat back along the runners myself. But when the passenger exit they usaly yank it back, and it stops too early... SUCKS!

Make sure the seat back is fully forward (it locks there), hold it forward with one hand and push the base cushion back as far as it goes without letting the back lift at all. Only when it has slid all the way back should you rais the back of the seat to the locked position. If the back goes upright early, it locks the seat wherever it got to, before it was fully back. Make sure the seat is fully back, before you adjust it next time and then you should be ok.
