Do it, if you have HPFP failure tho, might come across some problems I think...

Pay to play...

DPs are definitely worth it. I have a set of Riss Racing Polished DPs on my 135 and they were a fantastic upgrade, really freed up power on the car and works well with a high flow exhaust system. I recommend the software upgrade with it, the JB3 has a map specifically tuned for a car running DPs to take advantage of the improved air flow.

+1 for downpipes. Our 3" downpipes are hand made here in the USA and a great upgrade for your car!

So worth it...my favorite mod on the 335i next to ecu tune...

i think with most people they would agree its a great mod, the only thing really i've seen what has kept people from getting them is the time to uninstall and install in case of warranty purposes

if u think ur gonna get 30 hp and 50 ft lbs from just downpipes i think your gonna be shocked because with a tune if u get 15-20 hp and torque you should be extremely happy. But its a great upgrade. lots of great options.

PM me or Andrew and we can hook you up with a set. Best mod after a tune hands down

The ar design pipes are the best out there (IMO) Great quality, super perfect fit and the largest volume of any pipe on the market. And they are made in the US, not in China

Thanks for all the posts
I can see that for performance gains, it's most likely worth it.

I am just worried about the dealer giving me problems....
I can't afford to be paying a mechanic to keep installing and uninstalling them whenever I go in for service...
any way around this??

Hi Sparky,

I believe that AR has RHD downpipes. I am in the process of ordering the catless version and will be able to update if they are trouble free in the next three odd weeks. I am holding thumbs they fit right on and I don't have to chop and change. Stay tuned for a thread in this regard.

Find a friendly dealer I guess. Otherwise if space allows get some ramps for the car and start getting your hands dirty. That's what I did, I am not very mechanically minded but its screwing and unscrewing stuff so how hard can it be. Well worth it even if you have to buy tools it will definately offset all the labour charges.
