Exclamation Proceede help v3 rev 1 new maps boosting 21lbs wtf?

I noticed with the new map thats out for the v3, i know its set to user adjustable tq at 75% cause shiv said to leave it at that but i'm only gettin peak boost at 10psi and it holds at 9-10 when i'm at WOT...

is this the way it supposed to perform with the new map?

Wouldn't valet mode induce stock-like boost, which is around 7-8 psi? You can also lower it I believe.

If he's getting 10 psi, it's definitely the Procede working.........Any other mods?

You should be running stg 1?

Try running stage 2, or up the UT to 80% and do a test run!

I think on stg 1 you're suppose to see 12-13 psi........I would say check for boost leak, but you mentioned this only happened after updating to the new maps.......The 5-29 maps I assume?

Rev 1 or 2?

I asked about valet mode because when I went to rev2, it seemed to have reverted to valet mode for some oddball reason. I thought it was odd that I wasn't boosting to 14-15psi and when I discovered it went to valet mode I had been boosting to around 9-10 psi.

EDIT: Sorry... didn't notice rev1 in the thread title

very strange... I have v3 rev 1 and dci + catback running stg 1 as well. Peak recall on my gauge is usually 15.8-16.1.

so i data logged 2 runs

1st run i left it alone for user settings
2nd run i put both maps to 5 psi limit

i went out and ran both my data logs showed that i was all over the place for boost

both data logs showed my boost hitting all the way up to 19 at some points only at a fraction of a second then it would drop back down

it never capped out at what i set my limit.. car felt same on both runs

There must be something to this. I installed the PROcede, new, pre-loaded with non-doomsday maps 5-29. I just had the install about 2 weeks ago, and the PROcede was sent out to me in this last batch. The firmware is 117 and it was all installed by someone who has the PROcede and knows the install and set-up process.

Well, anyways a couple of days ago I decided to open it up and datalog (UT set @ 80%, I am running 93 octane, Stett CAI, and UUC/Corsa Exhaust). When I looked at the datalog for a brief few seconds or milliseonds, the boost shot up to 19psi, 21 psi and 21.3 psi. conseculatively. After those brief spikes it was back down in the middle of the run to what I would think would be a normal 14.6psi. What is causing this?? Doesn't the PROcede CANbus have the boost limit set to 16psi for a reason, how could it get out of that range? Obviously there are other people now with this issue. I am going to be calling Vishnu tomorrow and e-mailing Shiv, but I know he is out of pocket in NY. Hope the is a solution to this as those boost spikes scare the hell out of me. Any help would be appreciated, but again I will attempt to talk with Dustin or Shiv. Thanks.

There has to be something wrong with the Procede, because I have never seen anything higher than 16 on my guage, and thats ofcourse a spike from gear shifting

Try reloading the firmware. It's possible it didn't load properly. What you are seeing is obviously not normal.

Post the log for analysis if you want some informed opinions. Also, there's a huge difference between seconds and milliseconds (1000x), which is it? The PROcede will go into valet mode if the 16psi boost limit is exceeded for a brief (255ms default) period. From what you describe, it doesn't sound like it hit that limit.

You set the max psi to 5? That setting is the max ALLOWED boost, not your target boost. If you go past the "max boost" for a second it triggers one of the safety settings. Turn that back up to 16

You raise/lower boost by adjusting the user torque settings, not that max boost setting. If you want to test out lower boost, lower your torque settings to 0% (for stock like boost)

I get a similar thing. Rev2 Canbus Stg 1 @ 75%. Boost peaks to over 18psi before settling to 15psi as I progress towards redline. This was in 2nd gear 6MT by the way. The first half is a bit jittery due to cold weather and my semi slicks not getting traction.

I see Shiv has Stg 1 described as 75% on his upload site, but is that an typo? Shouldn't it be 70%? I'm pushing 15psi @ 75% with DCI, MP and Catback.

This is how it looks for me (first one is on the road, the others are on the dyno with insufficient airflow):
