Wheel spacers....

I know that wheel spacers have been talked about, but no one said how many mm thick to get them. I just ordered a set of 545i sport wheels for the 3 series. They are 18x8 with a 38 offset. I would like the rear wheels pretty flush with the body. What size spacer will I need to do this? Thanks!

Are we sure that E60 rims will fit the E90? I really wanted to put some E60 rims on too, but I had heard that the offset wasn't kocher.

with a 18x8 + 38 wheel thats not a 5 series wheel but a 3 series wheel spec.

As for spacers, its hard to give a number since its mostly done for looks and what you think looks nice is different from other people. I'd personally put 10mm on the front and 20mm in the rear from a looks standpoint.. maybee even more in the rear, but I dont know how safe it is to put a spacer that large on. The rear of the E90 can really take a wide wheel. But thats me, I like a wide stance on my cars

You really need to get the wheels, put them on the car and take a look. You dont *need* spacers usually; bolt them up, and see if you want/need them to come out a little for a wider stance. Also with spacers, you will need longer lug bolts. I personally run spacers and the rogue engineering stud conversion kit; it converts your lug bolt setup to a lug nut setup; which makes spacer install and wheel install a lot easier. They also carry a decent range of spacer options.
