E92 Vibration From Rear Center Console (Help!)
Just got my Gintani exhaust installed and I'm in love with it, but between 1,500 and 2,000 RPMs the little metal handles that you use to open the drawers between the rear seats vibrate like crazy. It's not the entire drawer, just the handle. Any suggestions as to what I should do to fix this? I know it's simple, but I want the best possible way to do it.

Nope, you're not alone. There's no way I'm gonna be able to live with it though. Advice anyone?

you just gotta get use it and deal with it. dealer won't do anything about it due to after market exhaust and nothing really works permanantly...

the tennis balls fit so tight they kill the rattle....at least in my loud ass catless 335 they did.
the towels would have to be stuffed in there very tight to work. Maybe combine the 2 techniques and surround the tennis balls w/ a towel....lol

Mine has no secondary cats either so I guess that's the problem haha. I'll try some towels first but a tennis ball sounds like it'd work better.

First of all... when the hell did Gintani come out w/an exhaust for the 335?!
Vids... immediately! Oh, and +1 on the tennis balls. Worked great for me....

They haven't (and don't seem to plan on it) put it into production. The one I bought from Gintani is one of the few they have made so far; I was lucky to find it.

You're right, but it still annoyed me haha. I believe a BMW should be dead quiet, except for engine noise (DCI and new exhaust ) of course.

I just put some towels in the ash tray and the little sliding drawer. We'll see how it works when I go out tonight!

Haha I never knew this was a common issue. I have the door open which kills 90% of the rattle. Might have to try the napkin one so I can at least close it and keep them handy
