Help in locating the 3 and 6 pin connector in 2004 Z4 for ipod kit

Hello,

I'm trying to locate the 3 and 6 pin connector in my 2004 Z4 with DSP. I understand it should be in a hole in the rear of the trunk, just behind the center storage area, but I can't find any loose wire there. Anyone located these in a 2004 Z4 before and can tell me if I need to remove the storage bin, are they under that?

In the trunk I see this opening (z4 002.jpg) with cables going in, but ther's only about 1/2 inch gap between the back of the storage and trunk wall and I can't find any loose cables with my fingers

Also, on this same back wall there is a component ( z4 003.jpg), what is this?
