USB Drive Armrest vs Glovebox

I have a 32gb Corsair Flash Voyager. It works fine in the armrest jack but the car won't recognize it in the glove box to transfer music to the hard drive.

I have also tried a SanDisk and a Kingston. Neither of them work.

I have them all formatted FAT32.

Anyone else have problems with the glove box USB?

What about a less than 32Gb stick? I think that the max is 4Gb sticks for loading into the HDD...

These are the only USB-download conditions stated in the OEM document:

Quote:

Compatible USB sticks must be FAT formatted and must support the Mass Storage Class USB protocol. The format can be easily checked on any PC running the Windows operating system.

USB hard drives, USB hubs and USB memory card readers with several slots cannot be read when connected to the USB jack in the glove compartment and therefore can not be used.

The USB interface powers the USB stick with maximum 500 mA. The file system (FAT 16, FAT 32 or NTFS) is shown under properties of the USB stick in the Windows Explorer. The protocol which is used is shown by clicking the hardware icon in the windows information area.

Thanks for that info. I meet all the criteria. I'm going to bring it to the dealer. Maybe something is wrong with the jack.
