SWAY BARS

What companies are currently manufacturing sway bar applications for the E90? H&R, EIBACH, and who else? Thanks for the info, just doing a bit of a market study before I make my purchase!

Thanks LONGTRAN!! I see up to 05 on their www, however they don't have any information on upcoming products to keep me in suspense!
Does anyone have any other manufacturers?

FYI, UUC has said they are coming out with e90 sways for over 8 months now... Don't know what that means. I bet for a company that sells a LOT of sways, it would be pretty easy for them to take out the stock sways, and fabricate a fatter set.

I loved the UUC swaybarbarians I had on my E46s.

I had troubles with mine rubbing the ebrake cable ... they ever fix that?

I'm sure it's taking them a long time because the rear bar on the e90 is a *bitch* to install.

I had H&R bars on one of my A4's and only the rear was adjustable. But I liked them. They weren't 50lbs like the uuc's either. But again, I had trouble with them making contact when set full stiff.

Is that a normal problem with aftermarket sways?

I never had those problems with my UUCs. IIRC, the endlink and sway didn't come anywhere near the e-brake cable in my cars (I had two sedans). The only problem I've heard of is that the rear end links need relubing every 3 or 4 months. I had the original version of the end links and they would frequently clunk. I then replaced them with V2 (delrin lined), and they were a bit better. I upgraded once more to their current style, and they were a bit better again. You still had to relube them, but not as often.

You're correct on the install of the rears, They really stink to install. You have to partially drop the rear subframe, but that shouldn't prevent them from development. They could just put a disclaimer that they recommend having a professional install them, instead of providing a DIY, like they usually do.

Then that also cuts out a big portion of their sales ... like me, if I can do it myself I'll consider spending 3-4-500 dollars on a part. If I have to take it to a shop where they want "book" rate of 3-4hrs install on an 1hr project then I start thinking twice.

Most of the shops around here that are trusted, install charges will cost as much as the bars.

It hasn't been mentioned before, but I noticed that on the Hartge website, there seems to be a "stabilizer set" (part #31 87 0500 E) for all E90.

Really weird that they don't list what that kit includes!
It could just be new bushings.......

Anyone find more info on the Hartge "stabilizer set"? 31 87 0500 E
Price, specs? Orb says that they are about the same size as the H&Rs.

Yep, I'd look into the H&R sways. We have had a lot of good feedback about these bars and they are one of the more popular kits on the forum.

The Blue bars and bushing are 27.5 mm and 20.5 mm in size and are not adjustable. The price is 530.00 EUR. Took me a week just to ge that....

The UUC Bars are good and you can get them now.
