Here is an email I got from the guys at H2R. A friend and I are attending. Just wondering if any of you other Texas guys may be interested.

Hello folks,

Here at H2R, we just wanted to alert you to two upcoming events that
are open to the public-at-large that you or someone you know might be
interested in.

M3 Only Test & Tune (6/27, Saturday, 2-6pm)
-----------------------------------
For those that own BMW M3s, this is a great opportunity for some open
session laps out at the track. We're running for four hours at your
own pace. You can ebb and flow on and off the track as you see fit.

Cost for the half-day is $200. We'll have a brief drivers' meeting at
1:30 to go over the track rules and safety regulations.

All track regs apply, including dBA limits (99dBA at 30 feet) and
SA2000 or better helmets.

If you'd like to be a part of this Test & Tune, please send us an
e-mail at info@harrishillroad.com to reserve your spot. We've got a
total of 15 slots available.

1st Annual H2R HPDE (7/11, Saturday, 8:30am-5pm)
-----------------------------
This is the first in a new series of HPDEs at H2R that will be
organized 'in-house'.

Join our member/instructors and get in on smaller run groups, more run
time, and superb in and out-of-car instruction.

This course is appropriate for beginners (including those with no
previous track experience) and intermediate drivers.

Cost is $175 per driver. Lunch is provided.

In order to register, please create an account or login to
http://cts.vresp.com/c/?HarrisHillRo...48b/b8d089ccae
and choose 'Race Track' as the organization, 'Harris Hill Road' as the
club and 'All' as the event type.

And if you can't make this one, pass it on to a buddy.

Happy Motoring,

-The H2R Team

If anyone else is interested there are a number of spots left. Its a great track with a lot of elevation and some serious 'gut check' sweepers. It will also be a great opportunity to compare notes on these cars.

I would, but my M3 has not completed its delivery to me yet. Just under a month left until the big day!

If this kind of event happens again in the future, I'll seriously consider it.

I understand, it's too bad though man! Would have loved to see your M3 on the track with all the mods you carry. Let's plan for a different date. Keep intouch

I'm glad you're bringing a proper camera, I've been working the point and shoot since my former Canon broke. I'm in the market for a Nikon D90 but haven't gotten around to getting it yet. Was going to this week, but haven't had time.

Looking forward to a very, very, very hot Saturday session. I didn't get my track tires ordered in time, so it looks like I'm going to be burning up my road tires. I'm bringing a cooler full of water, I'll see you out there. --JC

Here's a vid from the event, which only saw four M3s on track. In this vid, I'm following my friend in his e46M for about two laps before his 90mph off.

Michael, I've got some good footage of me behind you car as well, which I still need to edit together.

Here's a vid of myself following fellow member 'consolidated' around Harris Hill Road. It was only my second time at H2R and having the ability to follow someone who knows the track well was very helpful.

I still need to work on getting turn 2 and 3 right in order to get a good run up the hill. I progressed a lot towards the end of the day and was getting up to 110mph+ prior to the braking zone. However, I accidently left my track brake pads in Houston so I was not trying to go too hard.

I've never been to Harris Hill, but I like what I saw from your video (nicely done, btw). I'd definitely be up for an event there.

FYI...if you can get a group of 10, The Driver's Edge can give you a discount.
Its a pretty well run event.
