Carbon Buildup in Turbos

Just curious, has anyone encountered a buildup of carbon or gunk in the turbos?. I seem to remember other turbo cars that had a problem once the buildup got worse. Haven't heard anyone on this forum with this problem so I was wondering if it was a problem as the mileage went up??

Haven't seen the problem on these turbos yet. Perhaps some of the cars run much richer than our N54s in general. I can show you pictures of the average amount of carbon build up.

n54 is a DI engine, no fuel inside the turbo ... but carbon buildup caused fron oil maybe yes
