oil warning

Hi guys,
Today my oil warning light came on - had the car 3 weeks now and last checked the readout when I got it (had 5K on the clock) - it then showed half full.

Anyway the warning indicator said I should add a litre of oil.

Had to go to the dealer to get the special M oil and they said only put in half.

Glad I did as after half an hour the indicator was now showing full. Would have hated to have over filled it by that amount.

Just thought I would warn in case someone else get a simular problem.

Anyone know what would have happened if the half a litre extra went in?

Will keep checking more regular from now on to see if anything faulty.

Cheers

When the 'computer' told me to add a litre, I did just that it and it was ok.

Dont bother with stealership prices. Get your oil from opie oils
