Is this a good price for a 330i?

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...standard=false

330i
Prem + Sport
45k miles
CPO

They're asking 24,888 but I offered 22,500 and they countered with 23,900. The salesman is looking very desperate for a sale, so he said he'll see if he can get his boss to do $23,000 but that still seems kind of high to me.

What do you guys think a good price for that particular car would be? Your help/input would be greatly appreciated.

I'd hold out or try for 23K. I bought the same car 2 months ago (except 6MT and no CPO) for 20,500.

WTF.... when I was looking for 330i's back in Oct of 08 they were going for 30 k at least. Now I'm seeing people getting them for under 25k. I got mine for 28,500 and I thought it was a good deal. It came with sports and premium packages, nav and with extended warranty. CPO with 36k miles too. Oh well... I still love my 330i...she rocks and rolls!

I was lucky to find mine in Nov of 08. I started looking Oct of 08 thinking I would not find one until sometime this year. All the dealers I went to were trying to sell me only automatics. Some said manual trans is overrated. I looked at them like they were crazy. I will drive manual until they stop making them.

Yep. Last summer when I picked up my 330i in Denver, they were going for $30k easily. Shocking how quickly cars depreciate.

as another point of reference I just bought a 330i from a private party, no CPO but still 1 year of factory warranty:

6mt with sport, premium, winter 39,000 miles for 20,000.

With the remaining factory warranty if anything is wrong with the car it will get taken care of.
