Oil Change Question

Simple question for those who have changed their oil. I have a 2008 335i, will my supplies (number of quarts of oil, specifically) be the same as this DIY guide? http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4768

Any suggestions? This will be the first time for me to change my own oil, so I'm kinda nervous I'll screw it up.

Done mine twice now, very easy job, exactly 6.5 litres of oil back in each time. Readout says on 'max'. No problems.

I purchased a pair of ramps from NAPA this weekend called 'Ultra Ramps.' When I went to put them in front of my tire to change my oil, I realized my car was too low in the front, and the ramps couldnt reach the tires, they were just pushed by the front bumper. What type of ramps do people use? Do these Rhino Ramps works for our cars (the ones they are talking about in the DIY)? If so, where can you get them?

Thanks.

Rhino Ramps with a 2x4 laid in front of it. Or something similar to lengthen the ramp.

Woot, got it done yesterday. After I got all the tools and whatnot, it took about 15 minutes. Make sure, if you are ever going to do it yourself, to get the Rhino Ramps, not the ultra ramps from Napa. I wasted about an hour trying to get those to work, but it never happened.

My car feels so much smoother now when it drives. Typically, I would say this is all in my head, but my girlfriend said the same thing. If you are waiting for the every 15k miles to change your oil, don't. Oil+filter was $56, and well worth it. I'll probably do it every 7.5k miles now.
