will 285/35 and 305/35 work on TR Motorsport 18x10?
Hi all,
looking for tires to go on my TR Motorsport rims (18x10 25et) and am considering the Nitto NT555II in the 285/35/18 and 305/35/18 sizes. This setup is close to stock in terms of overall height thus my interest. I'm also running eibach pro springs and dinan camber plates with approx. 2 degrees of negative camber. Any thoughts? BC

I think a 10.5" wide wheel will work better with a 305 rear. I'd consider going with a square setup.

305 on a 10" rim is just too much, most likely will not even fit at all. The max is 285 I would recommend. I do run 285 on a 10"rim but was thinking even that is too much. You don't want to aproach the theoretical limit of the rim, rather choose a tire which is realatively small for the rim. You will not put that much more rubber down anyway. 305 on 10" is not the same than 305 on a 11" rim as contact patch concern. I would definately shy away to overtire my rims on the front. Your steering will not love it.

There you go. That is pretty much the ideal tire size for a 10" rim. Turner runs the 275mm tire and 10" rim square setup on his M3.
