I read this CC has an air filter at the top. Would this filter, like all filters, clog over time reducing flow? Is it replaceable?

its nothing but 4-5 pieces of foam stacked around the outlet. You can remove it and wash it. Easy.

you can see it here

Pics of the McKinney installed (not on a 335 fyi) and on my countertop for reference.

Ugh I want one so bad...other mods take precedence unfortunately. I think when my IC/DPs come in I'll set aside some money and time for the catch can while my DPs are getting coated.

compared to what you just listed the CC is cheap, push it up in the priority list

I put my RR can in the can and installed the McKinney using the RR install kit. The RR install kit needed a few extra clamps and teflon tape on the plastic connectors. I purchased the McKinney can with the right angle connectors. I mounted the McKinney can using the large hose clamp next to the battery terminal post or whatever it is called....very close to the original RR can location.

so no hoses come with the McKinney? How did you determine that you needed the 3/8 rather than 1/2?

I assume he decided to go with 3/8 because that's what size the RR can is (if I'm not mistaken). That way he could just use their hose kit and didn't have to purchase/modify/deal with making new ones.

I personally went with 3/4" because the connections on our N54 is 3/4" and 1" I will post pictures of my install. Not sure if I will be doing an "in-depth" DIY, but a I will provide enough information for anyone with any sort of 'wrench turning' ability to figure out for themselves.

i posted doing this before but people say running the 3/4 or 1" hose all the way through might not fit...
