Golf Tee Mod Question

I know this topic has been beaten to death, but I have a couple of questions before I do it.
1. Is there going to be any difference in sound applying this mod to an E90?
2. Does disconnecting the actuator harness in the trunk throw codes? If so, can this be cleared by the BT Scan tool?

Thanks

OMG!
!!!
1. Yes there's a different sound! That's the whole point of doing it
2. Yes disconnecting the actuator harness in the trunk will throw codes
If you decide to do that, just plug it back in before service

Sorry, I just read a couple of posts saying that it did nothing for the E90 in terms of sound.

Link?
Then why would anyone do it?
Why would the E90 be any different than the E92?

Apparently the sedans have a resonator I guess. I'll just try it out and see

Just disconnect the black rubber hose underneath the car and plug it with a bb or something.
