Acceleration

Noob here....

I have had my 6MT car for 6 months now.
Any tips on doing 0-100km under 4.5s from a stoplight without jerking the car so much?? (you know..rev to 3K, drop the clutch, shifting at 7-8K etc.)
You look like a jacka$$ after awhile.
It's kind of embarassing when your passengers are bopping around then complain that they have whiplash

Kick the passengers to the curb and then you might be able to run to 60 that quick.

And do the BMW driver training.

Shouldn't be doing that with a 80K car

i had this same question a few months ago. a little practice is all it takes. i use mdm for a little bit of wheel spin but not a ton and just really hammer it in second. if you are tenative after the shift it will jerk on you.

Your biggest problem is that you are dumping the clutch.
Keep your rpm's high and ease out the clutch fast but don't dump it.
If you are looking to do a huge burnout then dump it.
I always launch with traction control off.
A little tire spin okay. 4.5 - 100k is a fast time usually done by pro drivers.
I hope this helps. Practice, Practice, Practice!
