BMW PERFORMANCE strut brace

Guys, this is not a joke...

Called BMW Battersea today. Spoke to Jaimie (whos been very helpful) about getting my aero front lip.

However, I got a shock when I asked for the price of the BMW PERFORMANCE strut brace in carbon fibre!!! £645!!!!!!!!!!!!!! for a carbon strut brace!!!....

But the aluminium one was "cheaper" ...at £160....

Just though I 'd share my thoughts!!! ....after this shocking experience!

I priced up a carbon rear valance from the range for my 1 series, £650, it only has 5 fixing points, so it was going to go walkies in no time

I think that's a good price, I think it's more expensive here.

The BMW Performance Strut Brace, whether in carbon or aluminium, DOES NOT FIT a 335i car - the airbox is in the way... The best option is to get the M3 strut brace...

Damn... beat me to it E92fan.....

Didn't know the M3 brace fitted though.........

Do you mean this V shape assembly? (looks like the standard one on my 335i, but probably uprated)

Yup - direct bolt on replacement. Takes about 30 minutes to fit, as you have to remove the top cowling which can be a bit of a pain. Not a substantial improvement on my own car as I have other mods which make a difference, but noticeable nonetheless...
