Just extended Warranty on 330d - Costs

For those with cars approaching 3 years old, with some miles on the clock, my quote from BMW was £679 or £62 per month for comprehensive cover with Emergency Call Out with a £100 excess. (A £250 excess would reduce it to £47/month)

Gone for monthly option in case I dont keep car 12 months (and cos I cant face parting with best part of £700)

Could have bought me a remap for that! but I value the peace of mind over an extra bit of go...

I was covered with Warranty direct till I told them about my remap. Their response was " We'll cover you as long as any problem claimed wasn't caused by the remap"

Cover cancelled! - Now on the look out for a £20k 330d or higher on BMW AUC

That cover seems expensive to me. I've just taken out BMW extended warranty at a cost of £32 per month (or £350 if paid upfront). I've got £100xs but removed the breakdown cover (still have emergency cover) on a top level 'comprehensive'.

Mines a manual 06 car with 48k on the clock - how come your quote is more expensive???

they take into account your current mileage and price the risk accordingly

I presume you're over 50k miles then as I think that's the only level to pass. You can't get comprehensve cover over 100k miles. The 50k figure might not be right though; I remember not being that far away from the increased level myself.

I'm not at all happy to hear that BMW have introduced an 'excess' onto some of their warranties.

That's not good at all.
