XI JB3 dyno
Well, surprised at my numbers is an understatement
I was the last one to go, only me and the tumbelweeds...not on purpose...Tech had a little mishap while putting the leads on to read rpm. Any way's one new rear diverter later. And waiting for a old 27 open bucket with a small block that was in need of some some tuning. 335XI "JB3 8D3 MAP6" (dynoed in Mexico)....everything else 100% stock, including air intake. STD corrected 355 HP 382 TQ SAE corrected 346 HP 372 TQ Very happy with the results for only ONE mod on Map6 and all wheels a spinning.....Thanks "Terry." Did you dyno the car while stock?

Nope,
They did have another XI on their list that did 245 SAE. 250ish STD corrected. Although this is nothing compared to my drag car dyno's, I thought my car did well for a JB3 equipped XI. I wonder what a open air filter/filters would do? Oh yeah, there was a turboed M3 making 602 SAE today...Very impressive... |

I think he is referring to AWD which typically has more driveline loss than RWD.

They did have a SRT 8 charger with a Novi 2000 supercharger (can't remember if that was Paxton or Vortec). Anyway, it put down 529 SAE rwhp. One of the BMW's put down 602 SAE rwhp. A new STOCK M3 put down 331 SAE rwhp. It was a pretty good day for dynoing... |

Grats Jim on your run.. I had to leave to go back home but that seems close to my numbers with the same mods you had. I dyno'd at 353awhp with just the JB3 and some race gas, so we're very close.
Now come out to PacificRaceways and lets see you put that power down! |

It's good to know I'm right in line with the power your made on Map 6. Did you dyno at the same place for your 353? I could campare boost levels to yours! I searched on here for any old post with your old dyno...but no luck. Anyway, Terry was thinking I might see another 10 more with Air filter/filters....I might have to try that out after all. |
