- second: manual gear
- third : automatic also but DKG for Dual transmission clutch 7 speed (quicker than standard a.t): only for the last 3.5 engine

It's a shame they never used the M DCT shifter and paddles, and kept the shifter in the 3rd pic for the 23i and 30i.

i want to automatic gear but i dont like it when the car is rear whel drive. because when i start to drift the shift is goes up. and the car is stop drift. manual drift is best for drift but in Turkey its killing, lots of trafic.
now i want automatic gear but when i want to do drift it must stay on 1st gear until im change to 2nd gear? is it posibble with DKG?
(im sorry, my english is not so good.)

Yep, that's possible with DCT. It can act as a standard automatic, changing gears when it deems necessary or you can put it into semi-auto mode, where you'll be able to decide where and when the gears are changed. Best of both worlds.

I agree. It looks better for sure AND the paddles are logical. However, I drove a friends M3 a few weeks back and I found it hard to get used to the paddles. I am truly a traditional 3 pedal kinda guy I guess. It would be great if they could come up with a traditional three pedal manual with a fully automatic option for when you get stuck in traffic. I would be all over that.
