WTT: Feeler: Eisenmann Race for Sport or AA
75% ready to make a trade, but want to gauge interest first: Two weeks ago, I installed the Eisenmann Race exhaust on my car. While I love the sound while “leisurely” driving about town it's proving to be a little much for my commute. For me, it's a bit too loud at my normal cruising speed of 75-80 mph (between 2500-3500 rpm) on my drive to and from work, which is approx. 30-45 minutes each way. If this were not my daily driver for aforementioned purposes, I wouldn't be considering this. The exhaust is in perfect, anal-retentively-clean condition and anything I trade for must’ve been similarly well kept. I've driven less than 1k miles with it. I originally bought it from someone that parted out their car and drove less than 500 miles with it. I'd like to trade mine, preferably locally (SF Bay Area), with an Eisenmann Sport or perhaps Active Autowerke with the hope I can retain most of the great, albeit lesser, sound characteristics of an aftermarket exhaust without the commute noise (which I loosely refer to as “drone” despite my more experienced friends saying it’s not). Although I may live to regret swapping the exhaust, I think it might be best for my commute sanity long term. Again, I have not yet 100% decided to do this; just want to get an idea of who may be interested should I pull the proverbial trigger. I am also willing to take a serious, interested party on a ride in the car first so they know how it sounds as long as I don’t get carjacked. I posted pics and videos of the exhaust before & after on the site, located here: http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=257704 |
