Will the 335 sedan be like ZHP?

Currently have an E90 sport, always looking for a little more sport but not quite an M3. Or will the 335i basically be the same as the E90 330i, but with a bigger motor (same 162's, etc)?

Not really, since the 335i is going to replace the 330i sedan. Maybe they'll come out with a 335i ZHP later. I hope they add a LSD, if they make an E90 performance package.

Well, prob not enough reason to trade in then.

Had an E46 M3 and couldnt live without 4 doors for daily driver so its not an option to wait for that.

Don't forget they might be a E90 4-dr M3.

I wish they would too but I doubt it as BMW says its for M Cars.

The e46 zhp only came out a few years before the e46 was going to be discontinued. So dont expect a e90 / e92 zhp anytime soon

If I do not end up ordering a 335i Sedan today or tomorrow, a big part of the reason will be no ZHP Performance Package. No LSD and those 162's may be deal breakers for me.

BMW seems to be trying to steer out of the performance game, and more into the luxury market...so don't count on ZHP. There's an article floating around here somewhere about it. Maybe some ultra-suede interior, or soft-closing doors... Cooled seats anyone?

I'm probably in the minority here, but I love the amber lights in the headlight assembly, IMO it looks better than without.... Conversely, I really don't like the position of the amber reflector in the fender of the e92.

I'm very happy with the way the US e90 looks and I can't wait for the day I take delivery. =)

Lack of ZHP almost caused me to continue waiting. But I fear it (ZHP) may be linked to bigger changes in the 3-series line-up that will delay its release beyond my tolerance (i.e., 2008 MY).

My $.02 agrees with many above. IMO..With the E46 BMW's answer to a "M3 4-dr" was the ZHP (Initial realease in MY '03 as a sedan ONLY).

BMW will offer a 4 dr M3 like what they did with the E36. So, knowing that, there's no need for a ZHP type car in the regular 3 series platform.

Some other things to take into consideration

#1 - BMW never out HP's a prev gen M car with a new non-M model. (ex, E46ZHP hp was less than the E36 M3, E90/92 335 has less hp than E46 M3)

#2 - 300 hp out of a 3.0 liter I-6 is probably the most you're gonna get from BMW

#3 - High gas prices in the US (BMW's largest market) make a higher HP "base 3-series" unlikely with BMW's phase out of the 325/330.

Absolutely not. The ZHP package was renowned both for the added agility it bestowed upon the car and the various cosmetic bits it came with; the 335i looks just like the 330i it replaces...and it's heavy and will more than likely be a bit clumsy as a result of it.
