NY state emissions

Is it possible to delete one of the two cats in the exhaust system and still pass NY inspection? If anyone has an exhaust system and only kept one cat per side and still passed PLEASE respond

Yes. Did this on my E92 M3 and passed inspection no problem.

Mine is stock. If you car is less than 1 and half years old, and up for new inspection sticker, ask & tell them firsthand. I believe its $10 for a new one, one time only. Next renewal will cost at regular price. They scan your registry barcode now. Just don't mention new exhaust to them...
