Broken Boost Line...
So I'm installing the RixEffects gauge, and I'm going to splice the boost line that goes to my BOV, right? Before anyone flames me on this, I just need some help. The boost line that goes to that Y-Fitting (see image)...where does it connect to on the other end? I was pulling the Y-fitting off and my hand slipped and the OTHER end broke .
HELP PLEASE!! |

if the plastic nipple which is part if the manifold broke off, then you are screwed. you need to buy an entire new manifold. about $700.
i have another solution for you, but first verify what actually broke. Edit: jsut checked Tischer and its $573.17

It is, in fact, the nipple on the manifold #)(*&%$#)(@U%)(@U. I checked Tischer and found it to be $478. I know this sounds retarded...but for a temp fix until I get a new manifold...could I not just superglue/jb weld the damn thing back on, run a coat hanger through to make sure its still open and use it that way? I know its ghetto rigged that way, but I need the car.

you might be fine, and you could of driven it even with it off, you just cant go onboost. Go to a local shop either have them tap the same hole with a brass fitting, or seal up the original and tap a new one.

That's actually an excellent idea, thanks. The superglue held fine at full temp for 20 min under 13psi, so I think it should be fine. I'll keep an eye on it, though, and eventually get that tapped with a brass nipple. Thanks guys!

superglue is not a really great idea, do as 335ihellraiser said and get it tapped. you still going to order a new manifold?

Sorry to hear about that, looks like those vacuum lines don't have much slack going to your BOV in that photo... could have developed a crack over time... you should have some more slack in there now after installing the new vacuum line extension and T that comes with the gauge kit. I would do what others have said and re-tap it, or what scalbert suggested should work good too!

JB Weld is great, dont know how it will hold up with the manifold though as its plastic, always used on metal never on plastic.

It will hold well. I broke the nipple off the bypass valve actuator on an Eaton blower and used JB Weld. It held up for several years before selling the vehicle after which I never heard of a failure.
