Question on whether or not I should install my DPs yet...

I've got a E90 335xi and I'm awaiting install of my full Borla exhaust system (including secondary cat delete pipes) and my UR CAI in a couple of weeks.

I have UR catless downpipes as well. I wasn't sure if I should get them installed because I do not have an aftermarket FMIC or any tune whatsoever. I probably won't be getting either of those for several months as funds are tight at the moment.

What do you guys think... Is it worth it to install a fully catless system without any tune? Also, for those running full catless (DPs + exhaust), how bad is the smell? I've read contradicting threads about the smell of running a full catless system.

Let me know what you guys think. Thanks!

I'd wait atleast till the exhaust and cai arrive and install all at once that way it sounds amazing and u can feel more on the butt dyno. More enjoyable.

If you're gonna do it at all, go ahead. No reason to wait. You'll notice a difference.

And yes, you will notice the smell. I went from Riss catless to Riss catted because of the smell and noise. It was too much for me (with a catback exhaust).

It's not bad, per se...but it's noticeable.
