Designer Wheels in UK
Hi,
Has anyone of you been dealing with Designer Wheels in UK? I ordered a set of VMR V713's and I experiencing some problems with the company. My wheels have been seriously delayed and at the moment I'm not able to get in touch with John at Designer Wheels. I thought I would check here at the forum if I should be concerned or not. I'm from Finland so I have ordered the wheels over the internet and paid the full amount already.

sorry to hear that. why didnt u order them straight from the states as thats where all the stock is anyway...?
only problem with specific OEM wheels is that they dont really fill out the arches and are ridiculously overpriced. the BMW perf alloys are still stock offsets. considering its supposedly marketed as 'Performance' surely they wud have increased offset to improve the track width. unless its prob detrimental to handling? u cud stick on spacers like a lot of people have here but that defeats the object of getting new wheels in the first place IMO |

I ordered them from UK because they were the same price as in the states. If I would have ordered them from the states I would have had to pay quit much taxes.

altering offsets alters the suspension geometry to an unknown degree could be better but my guess is it would be detrimental. changing it just for cosmetics is ok but if you want the best possible performance i think sticking with what bmw supply is the best bet. they are expensive but the latest 5 spoke wheels are absolutely top quality and look superb as do the 269's IMO you cant go wrong.
