Horsepower Freaks to tune the N54

Confirmed with HPF that they have decided to make the N54 their next tuning project. They are currently looking to pick up a 335 to start working on asap. This is turning out to be a real banner year for the N54.. Contact HPF if you want to be on their email/mailing list for more info as it becomes available. I can't wait to finally see what the real limits of our engine are. There are gonna be some scary fast 335's out there in the near future.

Im sure they'll come up with something as insane as a 600-700hp kit. I thought 500hp for our cars would be max.

i doubt stock engine can support 700hp. it may require rebuilding internals...

I would imagine the Vanos system on the N54 is something that deviates people from doing such things... I've been wondering the same thing by the way.

Just read it. It's a supercharged E92 M3. 628hp at the flywheel. They 'turned it down' from 665HP!

Nice.

628 -> 665 is around 533 -> 565 at the wheels

Which puts the car in the power range of the ASR upgraded 335.

I was honestly hoping for a nice 1100 hp monster like has been done with previous Ms.

Is this just a tune or with this be upgraded turbos and etc? Either way I will guess I have to start saving up for the next decade for it.

HPF doesn't do childsplay. If they are going to do something, it's going to be worthwhile for them, and worthwhile means power with no expenses spared.

This will be the end game for the 335i. I expect Stage 4 kits to push 800 whp.

I just got an email from David Nguyen at HPF. He confirmed it. He said this just started up over there. They are working on a set of kits that will equal that of the E46 M3 turbo kit. That is some badass horsepower. I may wait this out to see what they do next.....interesting.
