Dinan S1 Package Installed - Just Picked-Up
I just picked up my car about 2 hours ago having had the S1 package installed. So far I'm very pleased with both the engine performance, the suspension improvement, and the exhaust note.
More as I get a little more time behind the wheel !

Equivalent BMW Performance parts are in the ballpark, I would rather go BMW route.

Prior to the 15% Dinan discount and including taxes it was about $8500 for the hardware and another $2500 for labor/materials. 15% off on the Dinan part of the $8500 will bring that down to about $7200 for a total of $9700.
My car looks virtually the same as the pics I posted back in 2006 when it was new. The only change is a slight drop and the Dinan exhaust tips. If I get some time tomorrow I'll post a pic or two.

Here are a few photos, post-Dinan S1 Package installation. A few shots to show the minimal drop from the new suspension, Dinan exhaust tips, and Dinan pedals.
Sorry it took so long !

Holy ugly badge.
A replacement customized roundel would be MUCH better.

so let me get this straight...after $10,000 you get roughly the same horsepower and performance that you can get with a $500 SSTT?? not even a JB3. I think the horsepower they quote ..what was it 384hp is at the crank not at the wheel....correct?

Wow. Right now, Steve Dinan is smoking a big cigar on beach somewhere, quietly chuckling to himself.

Great for you if you are pleased! I'm glad we have many options on this car. I think Mr. Dinan has lost some potential customers lately due to pricing and his attitude/ego concerning competitors offerings.
For the price of a new 335 + Dinan S1 package you can find a used M3 with less than 6000 miles on it. |

For 10grand - you could do every possible badass performance and cosmetic mod which would have it look nicer and perform better than anything Dinan put on.
With the uncertainty around DINAN surrounding the dealer network, competition with BMW Performance parts, and just being acquired by another company - That's too much unknown that offsets the warranty coverage gains imo. But hey it ain't my money! As long as your happy is all that matters. |

Who cares? The OP has been a nice guy, I can't figure out why everyone has to post this negative crap. Let him enjoy his car.
