Break-in period - accelerations?
Hello,
I looked around the forum but couldn't find a direct answer... I just passed 1000 miles and I think around 600-700 I started doing some deeper accelerations, nothing extreme, but just to go pretty fast to 4,000 rpm where I raised the foot or changed gear still being in the break-in period. Do you think that is ok, or should I avoid also those deeper accelerations? It's not happening often cause I'm driving most of the time highway, but in the city it happened quite a few times (and I really enjoyed them ). Which consequences i should expect, if any? I have a manual transmission btw. thanks! Last edited by jetblackbmw325; 07-30-2006 at 04:57 AM.. |

your car is built for driving in a spirited manner. you seem to in fact be following the break in just right.
no problems with what you are doing. the e90 is a wonderful car so enjoy it! all the best
