BMW Car Photo Shoot

Hi Guys,

As some of you will have seen, BMW Car where looking for a E93 to complete there vert feature for Junes issue, well after 450 miles, 1 hotel night stay the day had come. Firstly I would like to thank Seb and Bob for the food and drink and Dave (photographer) for his excellent work.

The was mine E93 320d, a M3 E46, a 135i Vert remapped by DMS (already featured in BMW car mag before), a space grey 650i vert and a very very nice Z4-M. Well initially the rain held off, and some good shots where taken, however then the heavens poured and we still had the "action" shots to do. I've never seen my DSC light flash so much!!

Anyway, all the cars will be featured in Junes mag (front cover I've been told) which I can't wait for. I've pre ordered my 200 copies!

Once again, thanks to the guys at BMW car and all the other vert owners! Great day and well worth the 900 mile round trip!

Great photo and I'm sure it was a great day. What was the article on - seems a large diversity of cars there - high/low power, 2/4 seater, sports/cruiser-ish - what will they conclude???

Yeah, however they had been custom painted to match the paint work. so the face was normal alloy however the sides of the spokes where sprayed red. worked very well!!

The owners had already taken it around the ring several times! Very quick!

Thank Red. Kinda of got that far by myself. Wondered if it was 'best convertable for under £xxk' or something like that. Could obviously have just been one of those 'nice' articles with no actual purpose apart from looking at pretty scenary & a good read.

Well for the article they have asked us all to write about 100 words of why we purchased the cars, likes/dislikes etc.To be honest, I don't think anyone will be saying anything about disliking there cars!

Is that Ashdown Forest by any chance?

It looks like the exact spot where I took some photos of my car!

I'm just sorting out the pics from the day and this one is of Dave (on the ladder) and Seb (to the left of the ladder) trying to take a picture before the rain started...

What a chat up line - bloody excellent!!

Shame you couldn't make it to the Northern meet, but at least you went to the BMW photo shoot. Glad you had a good time and nice photos too.

I know, i'm gutted I missed it. The wife said next time she'll stay at home since she now knows that she can't do long trips in the car or twisty roads.

Hence it was just me in Ashdown Forest!

Another pic of the car:-
