335i and feeling the pinch?
Fancy a P/X for a 335D M-Sport?
I am just curious... I like my car - but I like petrol as well... I had a little chat with Tony the other day and although he didnt realise it, well I need to hear some explosions or fire or something when I am pwning the tarmac... the diesel just cant do that... Anyway, this is a legit idea - I have no doubt if noone is interested I will remap my D and be quite happy for quite a while longer, but its worth testing the water. Mine is Black w/Black leather, 40,000 miles, 2007/07 FBMWSH and recently done a few expensive Service Indicators. Warranty, bought from a main dealer etc... Alpine kit is the only mod, has pronav, dab, ipod kit, heated seats etc etc. blah blah blah, you will PM me if you wanna know more I guess - the Northern Meet turnout members can vouch for the condition, which I think is v.good in and out. I dont care if you car is a Coupe/Saloon, Manual/Auto, etc etc but an M-Sport is essential and so is a HIGH spec, Sat Nav is minimal, as is DAB. Miles equal to me or less and around same age or newer... Cash either way for the right car guys Matt |

Yeah... it was a conversation about exhausts...
Anyway, as I said - I like the D, and I will keep it if I dont get a deal I fancy but I am definately thinking I want petrol... Noise, revs, more options for tuning etc. Matt |

Cool, i was hoping you were going to take over my mantle of the 335d speed freak..
I was hoping you were going to go far with the tuning and break some records. Best of luck with the sale I say sale because you would be better off selling privately and buying a cheaper 335i!

Thing is, there have been plenty of stock 335d's and mapped 335d's down the strip... does not garuntee you a great time.
Every car is slightly different, as is driver technique. The day we went Kin together, a 335d was there all day apparently and could not get below 13.5

It might be worth a shot, nothing ventured, nothing gained? If all else fails, I'd be tempted to have a chat with Ant @ SR,I'm sure he could sort out some goodies that could reignite the fire of the big 'D'.

'fraid not mate - I actually prefer the Saloon bodyshape, but it really makes no difference to me.
My only concern was M-Sport over SE in whichever shape just for my own preference really. Oddly enough, I thought it was a Coupe I was off to look at when I bought it, but thats another story!! The E36 boys will debate until the end of time that Saloons handle better too due to a cross member under the rear seats but I strongly doubt I can tell the difference there either. Matt |

Go for the 335i, you won't regret it! - saloon too.
Well EVO mag rates the saloon E90 M3 as a better drive than the coop version........ saloon is cooler IMO too! All coops, not just BM, are a bit Garth Cheeseman - IMHO of course ;-) |
