Dealer Service
My car just came up with a "Service" light yesterday. I have about 500 miles left till i have to bring it in. In the US, all sevices for 4 years are free, but in Germany, money is the only thing that matters, so I wonder how much they charge for service. Has anyone had thier car in for service? I have 27,000 miles on my 328i. Thanks.

The 15,000 mile service on my 328i was about 60 Euro, but it just depends on how much more of an inspection the 28K calls for.
One BIG thing, and the reason I'm responding (since I don't know the answer), is to make damn sure you take in your own oil. AAFES sells European-spec Mobil 1. Take a case in with you, and tell them to use it. You can end up paying like, 27 Euro a quart from the dealer. Had my wife's Golf serviced very soon after we arrived, and I didn't know any better. Came to about $185 at the time - for just an oil change... |
