My E90 335 order is officially on the books!

This is what I got and the deal I got...I'm sure it isn't the best (about 5% over invoice...just like in the old days!) but my CA was great and I have no problem paying him a fair profit for his service.

Model:
0742 - 2007 335i

Color:
354 - Titanium Silver Metallic

Upholstery:
Black Leatherette (Burl Walnut)

Options:
ZSP - Sport Package

MSRP of 41470 minus 1500 for a sales price of 39970 plus tax, title, license and doc fees for a grand total of 44268.48 out the door.

If I decide to lease I get the buy rate MF plus 0.0002 and acquisition at cost (625).

My ca told me they don't have build slots yet for the 335i sedan, can I still order one?

Dealers find out their actual allocations on the 28th but orders were able to actually be taken on the 24th. I was #2 on my dealer's waitlist so I easily will fit into his first month's allocation...your dealer may just be full for September production.

Congrats. What is the "buy rate" money factor and what do you mean by "acquisition at cost"?

Buy rate is the lowest MF you can get...it is the rate BMW provides to dealers...who typically mark it up 0.0004 (max) to increase their unit profit margins.

Acquisition fee is a normal cost associated with starting a lease up...BMW charges dealers 625 for this and dealers can mark up 200 to 825.

Thanks Greg. How does one find out what the "buy rate" MF is? What are the biggest negotiable aspects of a lease? Discount off MSRP and residuals?

Lease rates are posted over in the Ask a Dealer forum on bimmerfest...but 07 E90/E92 rates are not out yet.

Do a search over there or here on leases and google it too...you should know how to calculate a lease in your sleep and if you don't know what cap, residual, MF and acquistion fees are you will get taken for a ride...residuals are not negotiable but everything else is to some extent.

Congratulations Greg....not too bad for THAT car!
This is the exact same configuration for my '06 330i, so I see we share more in common than I thought... (except for the Burl walnut ).
Trust me, with the darker interior you should really get the Poplar, if
not the Aluminum. It brightens everything up greatly.
Burl is just too 90's.

Of course I did the Euro-Delivery thing but, just curious, how much were doc fees?

Thx...I'll think about the poplar...I think the aluminum might be too 'cheap' looking? Have you seen it in person?

Doc fees are outrageous in AZ...$388!

PS, you are cooler than I thought with your selection tastes...

$388 for Doc fees? Wow, so that works out to what $776/hr. That's a pretty good rate.

Yeah, tell me about it...pretty much the cheapest doc fee you will see in the PHX area is in the mid $200 range...the market is so competitive here amongst dealers that they have all jacked up this fee to lock in some sort of profit...doesn't really apply to BMW dealers but ?

Good to hear they worked with you on the price of the car. That's fair enough. It just burns me up when I see an outrageous doc fee like that.

Yeah, I've seen it...not for me. Looks very nice but, scratches
easy & I prefer more of the luxury look with wood, to offset all of that sportiness. Go with Poplar, you won't be dissapointed.

Funny story...after I cut my deal last year, I was looking at the doc fees on the order form & I was like : "Huh..$183?" Then I pulled out my five-year old order form from my 2000 323Ci and the fees were only $83! I was like...WTF? I had them "adjust" it.

In addition to your 335 specs, you'll also need:
1) Aluminum Pedals (a must if you're a true MT driver)
2) HUPER OPTIK TINT....you're in Arizona (need I say more?)
3) X-Pel front-end protection. Invaluable in my book, if taken care of.
4) Possibly rear spoiler & blacklines? (matter of taste).

Congrats again.....the waiting is the hardest part.

greginaz, my CA is out until Aug. 5 and I am third on the waitlist for an E90 335...I would really like to get the car in the first shipment so do you think it will be ok to wait until my CA gets back to order or should I order it now with another CA??
