tinting....

well, i want to tint and here in illinois it is illegal to have any tint on the front side windows, so im going to have the rears tinted only, im debating if i should go dark like a 20-25% or lighter like a 30-35% what do u guys think

my gf said she got hers done 30-35% but she wishes they were darker. She lives in chicago and has never been stopped for them.

personally, the 'performance' (i.e. % UV blocked) between 35% and 20% is negleble, they both perfrom well, for me, it was a matter of look, I have a dark car so 20% makes it look that much better IMHO

Illegal to tint front windows here in CA too or so I was told but I got them tinted anyways 35% and they are not too dark for the cops to pull me over and they are not too light to let the sun in and I have 20% in the back. Absolutely love the way the car looks now. I'd say take a chance, it is a small one, but get the fronts tinted too. If u are that scared then u could do 50% in front but 35% looks good

I think as long the tint is pretty close to uniform it looks good.
