DIY Request: How to install smartphone eject box into 09 135i
I've searched everywhere and can't find info on removing the useless storage bin in the center arm rest where the phone eject box should go. Anyone know how to remove this? I could pry, but I don't want to break anything until I'm sure.
Also if you have done this already, where do the 2 wires on the eject box plug into? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I ended up figuring this out. It's really simple. I'll post a DYI on this if needed. The only issue I'm having is I'm not getting any power to the phone when it's plugged in. It's plugged in correctly to the power and car antenna so I'm not sure if there's an issue with the wiring, eject box, or the 3g adapter. If anyone went through this issue, your thoughts would be appreciated.

Just for future reference (for anyone who comes across this issue), the reason why there was no power to the adapter was because the connection pins weren't in the correct location. My dealer fixed them for me under warranty. All in all, a very simple DYI mod (assuming the PINS are correctly aligned) and if you are willing to pay the price for the ejectbox and phone adapter.

Cool. I'm thinking about getting the phone box for my Motorola V9. Are the provided instructions pretty straight forward? And can you take a picture or two of the box please?

There weren't any instructions. It's pretty simple though. You can pop out the plastic tray (where the phone module should go) from the back with a thin flathead screwdriver. Then pull the back panel of the center console off (from the back seat) by pulling evenly from the bottom. You'll see the 2 connections where the phone eject box should connect to.

Ok thanks...can you post a picture? I'm having a hard time visualizing the box inside of the glovebox.
