Wheel Shimmy

Just got my recently and noticed that I have a very slight shimmy/vibration in the steering wheel and through my seat going above 60mph. Need wheels balanced? Alignment, or both? Anything else to look for? Its an 07 328Xi Coupe.

Wheels need balancing most likely. Perhaps one of them is bent too but I wouldn't expect
the vibration to go through your seat in any case.

Yes sounds like a wheel balance problem, maybe a wheel weight came off.

Most likely a balancing issue. Don't know how new your tires are, but they could be scalloped. Happened on my last set of tires and it caused a vibration at highway speeds.

Tires are pretty new, still have the little nubbies.

Verdict is, two bent rims and the right rear is cracked. It was one hell of a pothole.

Yes, the stock sport package wheels. 197 cross spokes.

They didn't say so. The alignment was still fine.
