Question Tire Advice Please

I am about to pull the trigger on some new wheels and I am just lost on the tire size. This is curently what I am looking at...
- (2) 19"x8.5" V715 8-Spoke Split Design Wheels in Matte Black Finish
- (2) 19"x9.5" V715 8-Spoke Split Design Wheels in Matte Black Finish
- (2) 235/35-19 Tires
- (2) 265/30-19 Tires


I will be lowered on KW V1s on an E92. I know lowering the car will make the ride a little bit stiffer but ditching the RFTs should help out a bit. Is there any adjustment to the sizes that I can do to improve ride quality without having to roll the fenders or having an rubbing issues? Its not a huge deal for me but if I can do it I would be interested in it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also I am stumped between Matte Black and HyperBlack with the polished lip any thoughts?

You got the fitment dead on! Those are the perfect sizes to use for the car without the need of any modifications or aftermarket hardware at stock height. Since you are lowered it does make it a bit tricky. Depending on how stiff the car is and which specific tires you go with, fender rolling could possibly be required. How low is the car?

I personally love Hyper Black's on AW's. A member on here actually has a set on his slammed E92. Ill post some pictures up soon.

How about the brand of tires? Another member here has the same wheels and because he bought Falken 452's he ordered 275/30 in the rear due to the more curved sides of the falkens.

how would brand and curving affect the fit? and the ride?

Depending on manufacturers, each tire has its own width and side wall characteristic. Some may be molded with rounded side walls such as Toyo's or Falken's like you have mentioned, or squared off sidewalls such as Kumho SPT or General UHP in particular.

With a 9.5 +33 offset on a E92, 265/30/19 is a guaranteed "direct bolt-on" fitment without the need of any kind of any modifications to the car. 275's are definitely possibly but with the testing/reviews we have seen, it is a real hit or miss situation depending on how stiff your springs/shocks are, alignment, and tire sidewalls. We generally stick with a 265 to play it safe.

If you are looking for a nice setup just to throw on and drive, I would suggest sticking with the 265/30/19's and call it a day.

hows the ride quality. I get mixed responses. Right now I have the sport package and RFTs and every bump I hit feel like an explosion. Will the KW V1s and this tire setup be better or worse as far as ride quality is concerned?

Personally, the firmness of nice suspension and 19" wheels makes it fun. It brings out the sports car.
