Leasing and Tires
I am currently leasing a 335i sedan and the factory tires are shot after 25k miles. It came with Bridgestone RE050 RFT's. I want to replace my current set with a set of Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 ZP. I figure they can't be any worse than the Bridgestones.
Question is, will I have a problem when I return the vehicle b/c the tires brand is not the same? Isn't the Michelin, the OE tire BMW uses now? Any help is greatly appreciated. TIA!

i think it all depends on the dealer and who is inspecting your car at the end of the lease.
some people wont even notices and some are super anal and will try to charge you for the tires.

You can't return it with bald tires and sometimes they will fuss about having off brands, but if you return it with PS2's they will definitely not have a problem. But solefald is right, it depends on how they feel that day, when they inspect your car. I would watch out if you decide to put other stuff like Nexen, Wanli, Lexani tires, etc. For the official answer you can call BMWFS to see.

Since most RFT tires are made from top tire manufacturers it should not be a problem!
