Blacklines and 225 alloys

Well i finally got my new alloys on today and decided also to fit my Blacklines which i've had in the box for a few months.

All i can say is i wish i did it before. The new non runflats have transformed how the car drives and the blacklines tidy everything up. My next job is to change the interior trim to CF. Anyway a few pics.

Looks great.

I keep meaning to borrow a mates E92 with those wheels and offer them up to my car to see what it looks like.

A 10 - 15mm spacer on the back and 5 -10mm on the front may help fill the arches a little more.

Just wish I had your power as well. Keep the mods going.

A good idea with the spacer. Any idea how it would effect the ride/handling ?

I think i'll just get the CF interior done and maybe the grill.

It's now coming upto 2 years old and 52000 miles. I'll keep this a while longer i think. Mind you that offer on the pcp for the M3 has got me thinking

You'll miss the torque.

What tyres did you go for?

Nothing much changed at the back but the steering got a little more direct and a touch heavier at the front. Had spacers fitted for a week or two before adding lowering springs as well so too much has changed now. I have added 12mm front and 20mm rear each side which may be too much for the 19's.

Was the spacers and springs worth the cost ? You've got me tempted....

I have H&R's hucentric spacers. I think I paid about £160 for both sets. The H&R Sport springs came for a bargain £25 from a forum member selling on ebay. Should be about £180 - 200.

Have a look at my garage. Front drops about 20mm rear about 10mm. Firms it up alot. I'd like to switch to non RFT's to soften up a bit.

It's not a PCP offer Scoot, it is contract hire

PS: The car is looking great with those wheels on and I think blacklines are essential on an E90

Looks ace! Tinted in black with shiny big alloys looks a treat !

De-badge it BTW. It will smooth out the rear and compliment the black lines [nicer rear end withe BLs].

Looks fantastic Scoot.

I guess you got your alloys from Chris? I recently bought a set off him and I'm very pleased with them.
