It's a good deal! My mate who is business manager at the dealership I have ordered my M3 from, has been on about this imminent 'offer' for a few weeks now, although he did not know the exact details.

I have today changed my order to a 3 yr contract agreement which means when the car lands (approx 22nd May) it is MINE!

As I mentioned in a previous thread, I was spec'ing the car and then the dealer was having it on demo for 3 months so I could take advantage of full demo discount.

I usually finance my cars on a lease type agreement as I like the low deposit, fixed payments and simply handing it back when I have finished with it! This time though, leasing came out at over £150 MORE per month than buying it. I had a phone call this afternoon saying my car could be put onto this deal for £20 per month LESS and I could have it from brand new, instead of it having up to 3k miles on it.

Obviously I have opted for this agreement and my spanking new, well spec'd M3 should be mine by the end of May CANT WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you can mod Carl but the car would need to be returned in a standard state. My 'vert will go back with the original wheels on it, the chrome grilles refitted, Nokia bluetooth kit removed and the rear spoiler taken off.

You just have to bear in mind when you do the mods that they need to be reversible

Really pleased for you mate. I am sure deep down you wanted it brand new and looks like BMW have come up trumps for you.

Cheers Gibbo

I did want it new, yes, but with the level of discount I was getting, I couldn't complain However, he had hinted that the car was going to be parked up for the 3 months and not used but with the March shutdown it had put the build behind schedule meaning a May delivery. Adding 3 months on meant I would not be getting the car until late August

This way means I get the car bang on time (contract expires on the vert a week after) and with delivery mileage only

Couldn't have worked out better

No not for me personally. I thought other member's might be interested, I have never done a PCP and I guess there is more to it than meets the eye.

Things like...

Is there VAT on top of these figures? and how many months do you have to keep the car without penalty?

Thanks for posting that Gibbo. My contract is not up until October or I'd be ordering one tomorrow!

It is contract hire, not PCP. There is VAT to be added to the figs and you have to keep it the full term of whatever contract period you agree.

Gone for Alpine White Tisme. Had 2 years of red so wanted a change! Also chosen red leather, carbon structure leather trims, Logic 7, heated seats, sun protection glass, 6FL, 19" wheels, Bluetooth with connected drive and most importantly the new 7 speed DCT gearbox

The ad also states for business users only, so you would need to finance it through a business.

Plus based on your mileage Carlos, 10k per year won't touch the sides with you. Watch that figure shoot up to 800+VAT/month with 30k miles per year.

Arse ... looked great until I read 'for business users only'.

That means VAT is on top so the payments are actually:

Deposit: £2115

42 x 638.25

In my case excess mileage would also apply - say:

£3781 or £ 90 per month

So actual monthly cost (for me) = £ 778

In fairness the numbers still look pretty decent

How many miles do you need NFS? I have only had 6k pa. The excess is 11p per mile but each 1k miles added a tenner a month. Did not see the point in paying £360 over the threee years for 3k miles when I could pay £330 for em at the end (if I 'use' the extra miles - if I don't then I am better off). The vert has done 12k so I will be bang on but not gonna worry to much if I have a few hundred quid to pay at the end. I am actually 8k miles short on the vert as it can go back with 20k on so they are gonna be happy when the residual is better with a low mileage car returned

I also looked at it, but the thing I couldn't get my head round was being traped for 3 years....... I would say in 3 years time there will be a new shape M3 on the streets, and that would BUG ME!!

I would just feel traped...............................
