Hello to all im sort of new to the forum

only been here 2 weeks searched around the site but couldn't find definate answer.

Just got an 07 335i sedan and was wandering what people use for winter setup on the car. I have sport 18 runflats and was wondering if getting a set from 335xi or 328Xi will fit this car. I dont particulary want aftermarket wheels and i dont want to be switching tires. I would get a dedicated set of 17" wheel if possible. Thanks

I'm sure the stockers will work. As long as you're the same footprint on all four wheels, you should be golden. I believe the rolling diameter of the 18s and 17s are functionally the same as well.

You'd be better off getting aftermarket 17" in my opinion, unless you can find a good deal here on the forums for OEM.

aftermarket 17"s will be much more economical and won't have any blemishes or rashes that a used wheel will likely have. Good selection at tirerack.com.

Also, check the tire/wheel and the For Sale sections of this forum if you are set on buying used.

Front brakes are bigger on the sports package aren't they? Maybe that was my old 330.

Might want to check.

pretty sure 17" wont clear. i dont think the caliper sizes differ from sport package 335s to non sport package. i have a 335 w/ sports and i could barely get my finger b/w the rim and the front caliper on my stock 18"s. tire rack wouldnt even bring up 17" when u try to set it up.

but the cheapest rim is sport edition km 11's, 18 x 8.
then you can wrap it with whatever tire u want. i got blizzaks lm 25's mounted, balanced and shipped for under 1200. tire racks the shit

Actually, 17's should clear. There should only be a 0.5" difference in clearance between 17's and 18's, which is smaller than your finger. The bigger brakes come with the 335 as opposed to the 328 - sports pkg does not affect which brakes you get, and the 335 comes with 17's as standard.
