What Rim Color & how? Powder or Paint ?

I have an 08 328xi Coupe, Jet Black with style 197 rims (BBS)

I'm thinking of going to a Charcoal color with these rims.

My question is, should I have them powder coated, or painted & cleared for best adherence ? (and look)

Should they be sandblasted or anything first ?

Anyone have a pic of a JB Coupe with Charcoal colored rims?

Powdercoating is generally a stronger finish. Considering your location, this is what I would recommend. As far as wheel prep - don't worry about it. Any professional powder coater will know how to prep the finish

But Matte Black, Hmmmmm

I have black/silver CF badges all around (wheels too) , black grilles, tint, etc ... The only silver like thing left is around the windows (which I'm considering black for also)

I'll have to hunt down some Matte Black pics to check out.
