Question Xzilon??? Anyone heard of it?

My dealer offered this to me. It's to protect the outside and inside of my new 3.

Anyone heard of it? Is it worth $799?

Not sure if you went with the xzilon or not. My dealer offered this to me yesterday for $795 (5 years). Told her I'll get back to her.

that sounds like a pretty outrageous price...considering that some of the best wax and wash supplies never go over 30 dollars.

The dealer offered me the same for $799 but I was able to get it for $489. It is to protect the clear coating from bird droppings, hard water spots, acid rain, tree sap, etc and is guaranteed for 5 yrs. In addition to doing the exterior, the interior also gets the Mink Oil treatment to protect the leather from fading and prevent against accidental spilling of drinks. I am having it done to my new 330i and will let everyone know how it looks.

I just got the car back from the dealer and it looks like someone spent hours waxing it. I can't tell the difference before and after but I think it is worth the money to protect the clear coat especially what I paid for this car. I can't be constantly watching for bird droppings (their crap can eventually eat right thru the clear coat if left on too long) or environmental hazards like acid rain, tar, hard water, tree sap to name a few. Time will tell how well this product works. The line you see on the hood is the starting edge of the clear bra that was put on after the Xzilon was applied. Unfortunately it is visible because of the color I picked but it will protect my investment from the hazards of the road.

Smile Xzilon

I purchased the Xzilon as part of the options on my new Camry for $499. It included exterior protection and interior protection (leather, fabric and carpet) from the series of products sold as a package for that price. I know these sealers and waxes can be 'scams', meaning they may be no different than an good quality retail product. I wanted to try it because we keep our cars for 15 to 20 years, and like to keep them in showroom condition. Also, hand waxing is getting to be physically difficult...

First I noted that the windows, which were included in the treatment, were fantastic in rain - as if they had a higher quality Rain-X treatment, without the brief smearing I have found with Rain-X.

I have just had the car a month, but am very impressed with how easily bugs and tar have washed off without any rubbing. Highway miles during these three weeks, and the spring/summer infestation of bugs have given it a good initial trial. I plan to persue agressively, how long this will actually last. It came with a written 5 year warranty.
