320d M Spote Limited Rev Question

OK this is going to start me off on a Paranoia trip, I have that feeling .
I have had my 320d M Sport Coupe for 3 weeks now and all has been well up until now! I went on a return trip from Dublin to Belfast on Sunday and when I drove into work on Monday morning I noticed a lack of power, the car felt like a Diesel of old hi torque but just sluggish. I went home that evening and the car seemed to be OK. Again into work on Paddy's day all was well. But this morning the same thing happened. The power is down as if the Turbo has been disconnected also the revs are limited to just over 2500 (It won't rev any higher).

Now I have heard that there could be a cleaning of the DPF but is this normal?

Any help to kill my worries please?

See the dealer. When the DPF gets cleaned, there is a slight drop in engine power for a while but it should not affect it's performance in more than a minor way. Yours does not sound like that and I believe some others have experienced this and there appears to be a common problem easily fixed by the dealer. Have a search, I think I read about it a few days ago but can't remember the details.

Straight to the dealers - there should be no reason for it to only go to 2.5k.

No lights came on at all! Would the ECU have reported this "Limp Home" error code or the Turbo Valve error?

It hasn't happened since so I am hoping is has gone away, fingers crossed!
