How Many Hours to Adjust Height on Rear Coilovers - XI

Hey Guys,
I just got a set of KWv3's installed on my E92 335xi this weekend. The rear got dropped a little too much, and I want to raise it up a bit. The shop I did the install at is saying that to adjust the rear suspension, they need to remove the control arm, and actually remove the spring to be able to get at the height adjuster. They said it would take 1.5 to 2 hours to just adjust the height. Is this correct, or is there any easier/quicker way to do this?

I did my KW V2s install myself and found that sometimes yes you might have to lower the lower control arm but not totaly remove it. One thing you should get so you can do it yourself is have two floor jacks or access to a lift and floor jack. I found that sometimes when adjusting the rear coilover that sometimes it likes to move the adjustment seat and the spring so you'll have to remove the lower shock nut, put a floor jack under the rear lower control arm so it rest right under it. Then theres 1 single 21mm bolt you remove from the control arm to the rear wheel spindle. Once the bolt is removed then lower the jack and spring comes out. first thing first though is your going to need either a ruler, measuring tape or a machinist ruler and get a measurment and see how much you'll need to adjust the coilover seat. Ofcourse both sides should be done evenly and then remeasure once put back together and remeasure ride hieght.

But 1.5 to 2 hours is a bit much, I'd say no more then 1 hour for both buts all in how well fine tuned you want to be.
