390ps and 485Nm should be sufficient to make the S4 a match for an M3 in acceleration and all for only 1950euros which amounts to £1790.

For us lot in Europe this doesn't offer a decent alternative to purchasing an M3 or even waiting until the RS4 becomes available in a couple of years time. Though personally it's the S4's looks that would put my off buying it, it's just not sporty enough looking.

I personally think they are a little optimistic but I would expect the limit to be somewhere in the ball park of 370~380ps from solely a chip tune. Still it's mighty impressive given that in this state of tune it will shadow the M3 over most tracks (i.e. within 1~1.5s per lap) and probably beat it on the back roads where a bit of added precaution will be called for.

Wow... Software, CAI, and a catback = 405PS... $20k less than an M3, and equal in a straight line for $2k? Yes please!

No, no shorter pulley is used.

The S4 is nice looking (see pic), hope that the RS4 is mean looking.

They have new torque numbers now on their website starting from 490 Nm until 540 NM! Niceeee
In tests, the S4 was doing very well >>http://www.einszweidrei.de/audi/audi...lim-2009-1.htm
