track pads vs. service computer (miles to new pads)
Question on changing pads and the service computer (miles to next pad change). How is this reset? Question is if I take the old pads out and put on track pads, will it reset. What happens when I put the old thin pads back on? I want to be able to get the stock pads still replaced under warranty when they are done. how does switching back and forth between trackpads affect the service computer?

The computer thinks all the miles were on the stock pads. As far as the dealer is concerned, they won't switch out your stock pads if they still look ok(5mm+), even if the computer thinks they are due. They will flush the fluid and take care of everything else.
