The 'Rest' Button

Hi guys,

I recently took delivery of my 325i (UK) E90. I love the car...

The only thing I'm struggling with at the moment (apart from the iDrive) is the Rest button on the climate control....no matter what I do, even if I meet the conditions in the manual, it doesn't seem to light up...any ideas???

thanks

I believe that you need two prerequisites met before it will engage.
1. Engine must be off
2. The HVAC system must be engaged before the motor is turned off.

It uses residual heat from the engine to keep the cabin warm for up to 15 mins (I think off hand) after the car has been switched off as ages944 has mentioned. It then it switches off automatically to preserve battery life.

Hope this helps

You have to clear your mind and have the desire to 'Rest' before pressing the button.
